MassDOT will be conducting work in your community in the near future. The following project information is being forwarded to you for distribution to affected City/Town Departments.

Description of Work: Milling and Paving on Rte 3 (NB & SB) from Exit 8 to Exit 11.

Hours of Operations (Day/Night): Night (7:30 PM – 5:30 AM)
Description of Traffic Management: Anticipate one lane closure with one lane traffic, periodic detours for exit 9 (on Rte 3 SB) and exit 10 (on Rte 3 NB). Police officers, warning signs, light towers, arrow boards, truck mounted attenuators and cones will be utilized for construction setups.
Estimated Duration of Work: From 5/14/17 to 6/3/17
ILLEGAL TRASH DISPOSAL
March 10, 2012 Annual Town Meeting. Article 46 - Moved and seconded that the Town vote to amend the General Bylaws by adding the following new Section 7.8, entitled "Illegal Trash Disposal", and renumbering the existing sections 7.8 through 7.19 accordingly:
7.8 ILLEGAL TRASH DISPOSAL - 7.8.1 No person shall dispose of rubbish, filth, hazardous materials, or litter of any kind on any street, sidewalk, or other publicly-owned are in the Town, with the exception of the Town Disposal area. This provision of the Bylaws may be enforced by any Police Officer, or by the Health Agent, by a non-criminal disposition pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, c. 40, 21D. The penalty for violation of any provision of this Bylaw shall be $100 for the first offense and each subsequent offense or taky any action thereto.

WINTER SNOW REMOVAL REMINDER
When snow warnings are issued, residents are requested to park their cars off the street to avoid damage to the vehicle and to expedite plowing and sanding operations. Vehicles obstructing plowing or sanding operations will be towed at the owner's expense. The Town is not responsible for damage to lawn areas, fences, steps, shrubs, trees or mailboxes that are located within the street layout. Residents are urged to drive reflective stakes along the edge of their lawns to reduce damage. Residents may obtain sand at the Highway
Garage for emergency use. Town trucks and contractors plowing for the Town may not plow driveways or private sidewalks.
