ILLEGAL TRASH DISPOSAL
March 10, 2012 Annual Town Meeting. Article 46 - Moved and seconded that the Town vote to amend the General Bylaws by adding the following new Section 7.8, entitled "Illegal Trash Disposal", and renumbering the existing sections 7.8 through 7.19 accordingly:
7.8 ILLEGAL TRASH DISPOSAL - 7.8.1 No person shall dispose of rubbish, filth, hazardous materials, or litter of any kind on any street, sidewalk, or other publicly-owned are in the Town, with the exception of the Town Disposal area. This provision of the Bylaws may be enforced by any Police Officer, or by the Health Agent, by a non-criminal disposition pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, c. 40, 21D. The penalty for violation of any provision of this Bylaw shall be $100 for the first offense and each subsequent offense or taky any action thereto.
