Old Forest Fire 47
Duxbury's 1968 International - Forest Fire Truck
Working a brush fire.
This truck, along with a similar 1968 International pick-up truck were purchased from Duxbury International dealer Walter Prince. The trucks were then made into brushbreakers by adding the "armor" that wraps around the truck. The "armor" or "breaker bar" on the front and "rub rails" on the side allow the truck to go through the woods to find and then fight a woods fire. Slid in tanks and portable pumps were added, and Duxbury had two new state of the art brushbreakers.
All work was done in house and performed by Duxbury Firefighters.
