Open burning of brush will start on January 15th and end on May 1st. Permits will be available at the Central Fire Station located at 668 Tremont Street starting on January 2nd. Permits can be purchased for $10.00 from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday. Only checks will be accepted for the purchase of burn permits. NO CASH will be accepted.
If you wish to purchase a burn permit by mail, you can download the permit application here or call (781) 934-5693 during normal business hours. You can either mail the application or drop it off at the Central Fire Station with your check for $10.00.
We encourage residents to complete their burning early in the season while there is snow on the ground.

These guidelines are not developed at the local level but enforcement of them does fall on the organizations at the local level.
