What is a Cerificate of Compliance?
A Certificate of Compliance is a 8 1/2" x 3" piece of paper that is issued to the system owner by the Board of Health once a system has been constructed or repaired. The Certificate of Compliance indicates that the system has been installed according to the approved design plans. The issuance of a Certificate of Compliance is not a guarantee that the system will function as designed.
