When do real estate taxes come due?
Real estate taxes come due in July of each year. In Duxbury, the real estate taxes, if they are above $100 can be paid in 4 installments (August, November, February and May).
Taxes are based on an assessment that is effective as of the January 1st assessment date of the prior year.
I am buying a Duxbury home, how do I change the name on my Real Estate bill?
When the deed is filed at the Registry of Deeds, the information will be recorded and the Tax Assessor’s Office will change the name and address on the piece of property.
I am selling my home, how do I change the name on the water/sewer bill?
You need to contact the Water Department for information on final water readings.
