NOTE: In the spring of 2009 the Tarkiln Committee was formed by the Selectmen to continue the work of the previous Tarkiln Study Committee. The Tarkiln Study Committee was formed in 2008 and tasked with identifying preservation options for the building. This was accomplished and at the March 2009 Annual Town Meeting the body voted to support a partial renovation of the building. The Tarkiln Committee will continue to work with the Town Manager to see the Tarkiln project to completion.
