Stroke Prevention

Strokes are a major health problem in this country. Every year in Massachusetts, 18,000 people have a stroke. 3,500 of those people will die and many more will remain permanently disabled.

In the Stroke Heroes Act FAST training program, you’ll learn to recognize the most common symptoms of stroke so that you can call 9-1-1 and increase the chance of recovery for a person having a stroke.
