DUXBURY BEACH OPERATIONS

BEACH UPDATE – Tuesday, September 21, 2021

Hello sticker holders, hope this email finds you well and you are enjoying the fall season. Below please find a brief email about the beach.


OFF SEASON HOURS REMINDER

Just another reminder that current hours are as follows:

Monday through Thursday crossovers and lots are open 8 AM to sunset. Please make sure to exit the front beach at sunset as we will be closing the crossovers then.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will be open 8 AM to 10 PM weather and tides permitting.

The above hours will be in effect through the end of September and will change some October 1st. I will send another email to you on or about 9/29 to alert you to the new October hours.


DOGS ON THE BEACH

Another reminder that all dogs/owners must have a current permit issued by the Town Clerk’s office to walk your dog on Duxbury Beach. Please keep you dog leashed at all times.


MISC

As you are aware,  there are no lifeguards on duty, so “swim at your own risk” remains in effect.

Port – a - pottys will be removed from the property around 10/11/21.

Please remember to fully extinguish your fires on front beach and remember they must be fully contained at all times.

That the approximate distance from the bridge to:

The first crossover is = 1 mile

High Pines = 1.7 miles

Third crossover = 2.2 miles

Gurnet guard house = 4 miles
