The Town of Duxbury launched a new version of our website today. We’re so glad you’ve chosen to check out our new site. The last design update to the site was over 10 years ago.
The new design is focused on a user-centric layout. The home page will include quick-click buttons to commonly sought services such as documents and forms, online bill payment, and the GIS map. The design is responsive and adjusts to fit the user’s device. The responsive design makes access from smart phones and tablets easier and more organized for the visitor.
Some of the preferred features of the old site have been carried forward, including a News section on the home page and E-Alerts with content such as news, agendas and minutes. In addition to improving the customer experience, the upgrade has also improved the internal management of the site. The website development tool is cloud-based, allowing content managers to upload and edit information with greater ease and access. It improves content link capabilities ensuring when new content is uploaded it is updated throughout the site, and has a broken-link management system, in addition to a broader range of design capabilities.
Every effort has been made to review and update content prior to the launch, however additional content editing and updating will continue on a regular basis. We encourage your input as we continue to improve our website and web-based services.
