Library Cards
Library Card Application:
The Duxbury Free Library is part of the Old Colony Library Network (OCLN). Patrons that do not already hold an OCLN library card may apply for a card at any service desk at the Library. Proof of residence with the applicant's address (e.g. a driver's license or piece of mail) is preferred, when available.
Children & Students:
Juveniles through age 18 must provide a completed library card application with the signature of a parent or legal guardian in order to obtain a card.
eCard Online Sign-up:
You may also sign up for an eCard online. Once you have your eCard number, please be sure to visit the circulation desk and have your eCard upgraded to a permanent library card. If you already have a library card, please do not sign up for an eCard. NOTE: This service is temporarily unavailable as of 4/30/26. We will provide a link to eCard registration as soon as it is active.
What is My Pin?:
The default PIN for all library cards registered before 4/30/26 is OCLN (case-sensitive, must be capitalized). For library cards registered after 4/30/26, the PIN is the last 4 digits of the telephone number associated with your account. If you wish to renew or place items on hold by logging into your account, for privacy reasons you may want to change your PIN, which can be done by logging into your account and choosing the “Personal Information” tab, which will show the menu option to “Change PIN.” If you forget your PIN, you can call us at 781-934-2721 and press 2 and we can re-set it for you.
Checking Material Out:
All library materials are checked out at the Circulation Desk on the main level. A patron must have a valid library card or a State ID with them to borrow materials. We will accept cards stored in MeeScan or the Key Ring app on your mobile device for checkout. It is the responsibility of the patron to return all materials on time, pay all overdue charges, and to pay replacement costs for lost or damaged items that have been checked out on their cards.
Lost Cards
Lost cards can be replaced at the Circulation Desk free of charge.
For any questions, please contact the Circulation Desk at (781) 934-2721.
