Meet Joanne Moore | duxburyma

I am Joanne Moore and have had the pleasure and honor of being an employee of the Senior Center for the past 20 years and the Director for the past 18 years.

Last spring, we were accredited for the third time through the National Institute of Senior Centers and as part of this process, we completed a long-range plan that includes 5 key goals of the organization.

They are:

1. Provide a welcome place for all

2. Provide the best programming—offer a well-rounded offering of programs and services to meet your needs

3. Be a good steward of our resources: That includes our staff, volunteer, and building

4. Communicate our message positively in a variety of mediums

5. Facilitate independence so older adults can age safely in the community

On a personal note, I have been married to my college sweetheart, Mick for 32 years. We have two adult children, Clare and Jack and a spoiled Golden Retriever named Henry. I enjoy walking, yoga, cooking, traveling, and visiting my family in Ohio.
