Aerial Spraying Map

Spray Map for Aug 8 & 9 2019

Aerial Spraying Map  available at https://massnrc.org/spray-map/

In the event of a planned emergency mosquito control operation, this mapping tool can be used to view areas targeted for treatment, or to determine whether an address is inside the spray area (area inside the larger red border). The map shows exclusion areas for public water supplies that will not be sprayed (smaller red-bordered areas), but does not denote exclusion areas for organic farms, aquaculture facilities, or rare/endangered species habitat. Please note: weather conditions or other factors may result in last-minute changes to the planned spray area, the actual spray area, or to the delay/cancellation of spray activities. For the latest information, visit this DPH website (https://www.mass.gov/guides/aerial-mosquito-control-summer-2019).

How to Use the Interactive Map available at https://massnrc.org/spray-map/

1.  To see which parts of the spray area are targeted for spraying on a particular date, select "Planned spray area" using the date you are interested in.
2.  Once the spray has occurred, you can see exactly what parts of the map were covered using "Actual sprayed area." This information is typically updated late morning after a spray occurs.
3.  To determine whether a specific address is within a planned or actual spray area, enter the street address, city and state or lat/long coordinates in the Find Location: window and click the Search button.
