Local Historic District Commission

Purpose:

To aid in the preservation and protection of the distinctive characteristics and architecture of buildings and places significant in the history of the Town of Duxbury, the maintenance and improvement of their settings and the encouragement of new building designs compatible with the historically significant architecture existing in the Local Historic District(s).

The Commission shall consist of five (5) regular members appointed by the Selectboard for a term of three (3) years.  The Selectboard may also appoint up to a maximum of four (4) alternate members for a term of three (3) years.
