Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee

Mission:

Based on the foundation of the Selectboard's Proclamation dated March 29, 2021, whereas the Selectboard are committed to ensuring that our Town is a safe and welcoming community that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Selectboard have appointed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee to address these issues and to formulate and develop plans for a future scheduled Summit, which will provide standing resources and possibly a permanent committee moving forward.

The DEI Committee is developing a Commitment to first ‘understand and address’ the fact we as a community are not where we want to be, then we ‘educate’ ourselves on the DEI gap that exists and finally we ‘enact changes’ required to close that gap.
