DUXBURY BEACH UPDATE- 3/3/22
Hello Beach patron, I hope this email finds you and your family well. Below are a few important topics and updates that you should be aware of for the next few months.
BEACH PERMITS/STICKERS – ON SALE AS OF 3/4/22!!!
Permits are now on sale for the new season! You may walk into Town Hall and purchase your sticker in Town Hall, at the Treasurer’s office. Town Hall is open Monday through Thursday 8-4 and Friday 8-12:30.
Stickers may also be purchased on line at: https://epay.cityhallsystems.com/selection.
If you have any questions related to sticker sales and any requirements thereof, please contact the Treasurer’s office at 781-934-1100 ext 6001.
BEACH HOURS
Starting March 14th, Crossover hours will be as follows:
Monday & Tuesday: 8:30am-3:30pm
Wednesday thru Sunday: 8:30am-6:00pm

DOG PERMITS
Permits to walk your dog on Duxbury beach are required year-round. Permits are on sale through the Town Clerk’s office, which is located in Town Hall. You can get all the information you need at: https://www.town.duxbury.ma.us/town-clerk
Resident permits and on-resident permits have slightly different requirements so please reach out to the Clerk’s office to get all the pertinent information.
All dogs must be on a leash year-round and must display the permit issued to their owner or be subject to fine and possible loss of privileges.
I love dogs, I have had dogs my whole life. We are VERY fortunate to have dogs allowed at the beach, most beaches, in fact the vast majority, don’t allow dogs on the beach. With all due candor managing dogs on the beach and the owners that don’t adhere to the rules was one the most disappointing aspects of our first year managing Beach Operations. Please help us to keep this great benefit by complying with all rules and regulations pertaining to your furry friends!
ANNUAL BEACH SWEEP
Mark your calendar for the annual beach sweep. It will be held Saturday March 19th, from 10 am to 1 pm. Please consider attending and helping out that day. A dumpster will be on location and this is a great opportunity to help clean our great resource. Rangers will be on duty to help all, as well as reps from DBR.
NOW HIRING
The Town of Duxbury is hiring Beach Rangers and Beach Lifeguards. There are opportunities for 40 hour per week seasonal and part time positions. Please go the Town of Duxbury Human Resources Department page to apply: https://townofduxburyjobs.easyapply.co/
