Powder Point Bridge Advisory Committee

The Powder Point Bridge Advisory Committee shall be charged with the following on matters related to the design of the Powder Point Bridge:

Review project plans and programming related to the Powder Point Bridge;

Analyze goals related to the design of the Powder Point Bridge and report to the Selectboard and Town Manager with specific recommendations that can be implemented to support the goals;

Work with staff and residents to assist in the coordination of various efforts related to the design review of the Powder Point Bridge, as needed;

Provide periodic updates to the Selectboard and Town Manager about the project on an ongoing basis;

Assist with the coordination and implementation of public outreach to help ensure public participation and involvement related to the final design of the Powder Point Bridge.

Membership

The Powder Point Bridge Advisory Committee is an ad hoc committee comprised of five (5) members, who are Town of Duxbury residents, appointed by the Selectboard. The term of office shall be three years.

Town residents appointed to the Committee shall be required to have experience or specialized knowledge in any of the following: engineering, architecture, transportation planning, bridge construction, multi‐modal transportation planning, marine engineering, coastal resiliency planning, local history or relevant, related experience.

The Committee shall elect a chair, establish a meeting schedule, post agendas, keep minutes of its deliberations, observe the Open Meeting and Public Records law, the Conflict‐of‐interest Law and all other applicable laws and regulations of the Commonwealth as well as all relevant Bylaws and Administrative Policies of the Town fostering a free and open discussion of ideas.
