Registration Procedures

How to Register

There are two ways to register for Recreation Department programs: Online or Walk-In

Online Registrations

  • Go to Duxbury Recreation Department's Online Registration Page and click the link to create an account or log into an existing account.

    There is no cost to create an account, but you must have an account in order to register for any Rec Dept program.  ActiveNet charges a non-refundable 6.44% convenience fee (based on program fee) for all online transactions. The ActiveNet online registration system is shared by the Duxbury Recreation Department, Percy Walker Pool and Duxbury Before and After Dark.  One account can be accessed to register for programs offered by all three departments. NOTE:  The registration is not complete until payment has been processed.  To avoid paying the processing fee you can pay by check in person at either the Rec Dept., Before and After Dark or Percy Walker Pool (depending upon who is offering the program).



You can also register for programs in person at the Recreation Department office, located at the Girl Scout House, 22 Washington St.  Walk in registration begins the day after online registration.  You still need to create an account through the Activenet system.  Go to the Online Registration Website and click the link to create an account.

Please Note: We do not accept phone registrations.

General Registration Information

All registrations are through the Activenet Registration system.  It is recommended that all participants create an account and add all family members prior to registering for programs.  We cannot hold spots for programs.  Fee must accompany registration and anyone not registered will not be permitted to take part in the activity.  Instructors cannot accept registrations!   

Maximum enrollments are listed for each activity and must be enforced to ensure the quality of the program.

Age will be determined as of the first day of class unless otherwise noted.  The grade listed for programs indicates the grade your child is completing in June.  If your child does not fall within the age/grade parameters please contact the Recreation Department at 934-7034.  

Only children that are registered may be in the class location during the Recreation programs.  Program fees cannot be prorated.

The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program due to low enrollment.  PLEASE register early and on time!


Non-Resident Registration

Duxbury Residents are given priority placement in all scheduled events.  Out of town residents may register for programs two weeks after the registration period begins. 

Department Policies


Refunds of 100% (minus a $10 processing fee) can be requested up to one week prior to the first day of class, provided it will not put the program in a financial deficit.  After that time, no refunds will be issued unless approved by the Recreation Director.

Cancellation Information

Activities cancelled due to inclement weather will not be made up unless otherwise noted.  Classes cancelled due to low enrollment will be given a full refund.  Cancellations will be posted on the Rec. Dept.’s web page, facebook page and Twitter.  We will also email all participants.
